The Way Out:
Cowichan Vision for Wellness
Members of the Coalition to Address Homelessness gathered early in the spring of 2024 to share information related to their work in community. The information gathered informed a 3-phase comprehensive response to this complex crisis in our community.
Success in the Cowichan region has been largely due to the way in which we work together, our regional focus to complex social issues.
Cowichan region local governments and Indigenous leaders are invited to align across civic jurisdictions and mandates and unite in their approach - using this 10-year plan as a starting point.
Free Certificate Program on Fundamentals for the Homelessness Serving Sector
If you provide support to people who are experiencing homelessness or are at-risk of homelessness, you may be interested in a free micro-certificate through the University of Victoria. This program will help you enhance your knowledge and gain skills and competencies to support your paid or volunteer roles in the sector.
